Little-studied in domestic musicology, the works of representatives of Western European musical
art from Romanticism to Modernism highlight the scientific explorations of the first section of the
collection, while the researches of its second section present the modern achievements of Ukrainian
musicians, as well as the recent historical past connected with the name of the “Ukrainian Lehár” –
the founder of the national operetta Yaroslav Barnych, which work was banned during Soviet times.
The publication is addressed to art historians-scientists, graduates and students of art specialties
and may be of interest for the art lovers.
